How do I
stop the IM Client from running during
startup?
Select Startup Settings under the Settings button (or menu item in
the system tray menu).
- If you do not want IM Client to run on your computer startup, select
the option Do not load automatically.
- If you want IM Client to load automatically when connected to the
internet, select the second option. Note that this option only works
with dial-up connections.
- If you check the Connect automatically when loaded box, IM will
connect automatically any time it is loaded.

How do I
uninstall the IM Client?
Make sure the IM Client is not running. Select Add/Remove programs
on the windows control panel - select IM and click remove.

How do I
delete the message history
Using Windows Explorer, go to the directory where the IM Client is
installed (For example: C:\Program Files\instan-t). You should find
a folder named Historia. There you will find one folder for each
user that has history on your computer. By deleting that users folder,
all his history will be deleted.

How do I
change my user information?
Select Personal Profile under the setting button. Change the information
you want to modify and click Accept. Note: You cannot change your
username.

Why can't
I change my user name?
You can change all your user details except for your username because
it works like an identification number, for this reason there can
only be one user with a particular name. If you want a different
username, you must register a new one.

How do I
activate the ICQ, AOL, MSN or Yahoo
compatibility?
Click on the AOL, MSN, ICQ or Yahoo buttons, select the option Settings,
If you would like to use an existing account with those networks,
just type your user information or if you prefer, create a new account
by clicking the appropriate button.

How can I
add ICQ, AOL MSN and Yahoo users
to my list?
Click the Search/Add People button, Select Add ICQ user, Add AOL
user, Add MSN user or Add Yahoo user, Enter your friend's username,
UIN, screen name or buddy name.

How do I
block a user?
To block a user, right click on the user and select Ignore. The ignored
user cannot send you messages, chat requests, files, etc. unless
you choose not to ignore it him/her anymore. Note that ignored users
will have an asterisk preceding their user name.

I am unable
to connect, what do I do?
Check your IM Client connection settings by selecting the Connection
menu item under the Settings button. Verify that the information
matches your current connection. If you are unsure, try different
choices or ask your network administrator or ISP. Maybe your connection
speed is too slow. Try connecting several times and wait for a couple
of minutes between retries. Our network may be temporary unavailable
due to upgrades or maintenance. Try connecting again in a couple
of hours. If the problem persists, uninstall the IM Client. Install
it again and register once more with another user.

I forgot
my password, what should I do?
While offline, open the IM Client and click "Forgot password". You
will receive your password by e-mail to the address you have provided
us during registration (or the one present in your Personal Profile
if you've changed it). Note: If you did not provide a valid e-mail
account, there is no way to retrieve your password and you will need
to register a new username. Please use a valid e-mail address in
your personal details.

Why do I
sometimes get disconnected from AOL,
ICQ, MSN or Yahoo?
When you activate IM compatibility with any other messenger, the
client connects you directly with their network. Sometimes one or
more messenger networks are too busy or unavailable. So you can connect
to your IM network, but you will see your user offline in that particular
network.

What am
I am never able to connect to the
AOL, ICQ, MSN or Yahoo network.
Maybe your AOL, ICQ, MSN or Yahoo account was not correctly created
or is not correctly configured. Go to AOL, ICQ, MSN or Yahoo settings
and erase your username and password. Erase only the one from the
network that is causing problems. Click the Settings button and select
AOL, MSN and ICQ automatic setup (Yahoo accounts must be created
manually by the moment). Click Accept and you will have a new account
created for the network you have erased the username.

Why can't I
import my current ICQ account and
contact list?
The IM Client can currently import accounts from ICQ 99a, 99b and
2000a. Support for ICQ 2000b and later versions will be added in
the future. This limitation only applies to importing an existing
ICQ account. Using the IM Client you can communicate with any ICQ
user regardless of the ICQ version they are using.
